About FIAT Toro
The FIAT Toro is a four-door, five-seat unibody pickup developed in Brazil and introduced in 2016. Built at the Stellantis plant in Goiana, Pernambuco, it was created mainly for Brazil and other Latin American markets. Its Sport Utility Pick-up concept places it between conventional compact pickups and larger body-on-frame models, combining an open cargo bed with the cabin layout and road manners of an SUV.
Within FIAT’s pickup range, the Toro sits above the smaller Strada and below the larger Titano. It is aimed at buyers seeking more passenger comfort and everyday usability than a traditional work-focused pickup, while retaining useful load capacity and, on selected versions, four-wheel drive. The model is known for its double-cab body, independent rear suspension, split side-opening tailgate and distinctive layered front lighting.
The range has included work-oriented, mainstream and higher-specification versions such as Endurance, Freedom, Volcano, Ultra and Ranch. Depending on model year and market, powertrains have included flex-fuel petrol and turbo-diesel engines, front- or four-wheel drive and automatic transmissions. For the 2027 model year in Brazil, mild-hybrid flex-fuel versions joined the range, while diesel 4x4 alternatives remained available. The Toro is a key regional FIAT model and helped establish a pickup class focused on both lifestyle use and practical utility.
