About FIAT Talento
The FIAT Talento is a medium-sized light commercial vehicle positioned between the smaller Doblò and the larger Ducato in the FIAT Professional range. The name had previously been used for a short-wheelbase Ducato variant, but the better-known modern Talento was introduced in 2016 as the replacement for the Scudo.
Developed through an industrial partnership with Renault, this generation was closely related to the Renault Trafic and was built at Renault’s Sandouville plant in France. It remained in FIAT’s range until the Scudo name returned for its successor in 2022.
The Talento was offered as a panel van, crew van, passenger-carrying Combi and platform cab, depending on the market. Buyers could choose between two wheelbases and standard- or high-roof configurations. Panel-van load volume ranged from 5.2 to 8.6 cubic metres, while maximum payload reached approximately 1,250 kg on selected versions.
Early models used 1.6-litre MultiJet turbo-diesel engines with outputs from 95 to 145 hp. The 2020 model update introduced 2.0-litre EcoJet diesels producing up to 170 hp, with a dual-clutch automatic transmission available on some versions. The Talento is known for combining useful cargo capacity with relatively compact dimensions, making it suitable for urban deliveries, trade work and longer-distance transport.
