About FIAT Scudo
The FIAT Scudo is a medium-sized light commercial vehicle positioned between the compact Doblò and the larger Ducato in the FIAT Professional range. Introduced in the mid-1990s, it was developed through FIAT’s long-running commercial-vehicle cooperation with PSA. A second generation followed in 2007, while the Scudo name returned in 2022 after several years away from the range.
The current model is part of Stellantis’s shared medium-van family and was launched from the group’s Hordain plant in France. It is closely related in engineering terms to vans sold by other Stellantis brands, but carries FIAT Professional styling and model positioning. The range varies by market, with panel-van, crew and passenger-oriented configurations, multiple body lengths and a choice of diesel or battery-electric power. The electric version is marketed as the E-Scudo.
Scudo is aimed at trades, delivery operators, service fleets and businesses that need more cargo space than a compact van without moving to a full-size vehicle. It is known for balancing manageable exterior dimensions with a practical load area, sliding side-door access and car-like driving comfort. Depending on version, flexible seating and load-through solutions broaden its use for mixed passenger and cargo duties. This combination of urban usability, motorway capability and adaptable body formats defines the Scudo’s role in the FIAT Professional line-up.
