About FIAT Pulse
The FIAT Pulse is a subcompact crossover SUV developed in Brazil for Latin American markets. Launched in Brazil in 2021, it is built at Stellantis’ Betim plant in Minas Gerais. As FIAT’s first SUV developed in the country, it marked a significant expansion beyond the brand’s established small-car and commercial-vehicle ranges.
Designed mainly for urban and mixed-use driving, the Pulse combines compact exterior dimensions and a raised driving position with five-door practicality. Within FIAT’s regional line-up, it sits below the larger, coupé-styled Fastback and serves as the brand’s more conventional entry in the competitive B-SUV class.
The range varies by country and model year. Brazilian versions have included Drive, Audace and Impetus trims, with naturally aspirated 1.3-litre and turbocharged T200 flex-fuel engines, manual or CVT transmissions, and front-wheel drive. Mild-hybrid T200 versions were added later, combining a 12-volt electrical system with the turbocharged engine.
The performance-focused Pulse Abarth joined the family in 2022 as Abarth’s first SUV. It uses a more powerful T270 turbo engine and has specific tuning for the transmission, steering, suspension and brakes. Across the line, the Pulse is known for contemporary styling, cabin versatility, connected infotainment and available driver-assistance features.
