About FIAT Cronos
The FIAT Cronos is a compact four-door saloon introduced in 2018 for Latin American markets. It is produced at Stellantis’ Córdoba plant in Argentina, which supplies the domestic market and exports vehicles to countries including Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Paraguay. Production reached 500,000 units in February 2026.
Positioned as FIAT’s practical small saloon, the Cronos is intended for buyers seeking everyday affordability, passenger space and a large luggage compartment in a conventional three-box body. Its 525-litre boot is one of its defining practical qualities, supporting family use and longer journeys as well as routine urban driving.
The range has changed over time. Earlier models offered 1.3- and 1.8-litre engines with manual, automated manual or six-speed automatic transmissions, depending on version and market. The updated MY26 Argentine line uses a 1.3-litre engine throughout, with five-speed manual and CVT options across Like, Drive and Precision specifications. Equipment varies by trim and may include a touchscreen multimedia system, smartphone connectivity, LED lighting and additional safety features.
The Cronos has become one of FIAT’s most important regional products and a major part of Argentina’s vehicle industry. It led the Argentine market for three consecutive years and was the country’s best-selling passenger car in 2025.
