About Ferrari Roma
The Ferrari Roma is a front-mid-engined grand touring car introduced in 2019, with customer deliveries beginning in 2020. Positioned within Ferrari’s GT range rather than its more track-focused sports-car line, it combines long-distance usability with high performance. Its styling is a modern interpretation of elegant Italian coupés from the 1950s and 1960s, expressed through clean surfaces and restrained detailing.
The original Roma is a two-door 2+ coupé powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 producing 620 cv. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The mid-front engine position supports balanced handling while preserving classic grand-tourer proportions. Its compact rear seats are intended mainly for occasional use, and the cabin uses a dual-cockpit layout centred on the driver and front passenger.
The Roma Spider, unveiled in 2023, is the principal variation. It retains the 2+ layout, powertrain and core character of the coupé but adds a retractable fabric roof, returning a soft top to a front-engined Ferrari after more than five decades. Across its single generation, the Roma is known for understated design, strong V8 performance and a greater emphasis on comfort and everyday usability than Ferrari’s mid-engined models.
