About Ferrari Monza SP
The Ferrari Monza SP is a limited-production open sports car introduced in 2018 as the first model family in Ferrari’s Icona programme. Created for selected clients and collectors, it reinterprets the brand’s 1950s racing barchettas, including the 166 MM, 750 Monza and 860 Monza, with modern engineering. It sits above Ferrari’s regular production range as a rare special series rather than a conventional convertible.
The range comprises two closely related versions within a single generation. The Monza SP1 is a single-seater with the passenger area covered, while the Monza SP2 adds a second seat, protective screen and roll bar. Combined production was limited to 499 cars. Both versions omit a conventional roof and windscreen, giving them a low, minimalist speedster form.
Based on the 812 Superfast’s front-engined platform, the Monza uses a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 810 cv, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Carbon fibre is used extensively, while Ferrari’s patented Virtual Wind Shield helps direct airflow around the occupants. The model is known for its dramatic proportions, exposed driving experience and blend of historic references with contemporary performance.
