About Ferrari LaFerrari
The Ferrari LaFerrari is a limited-production, two-seat hybrid hypercar introduced in 2013 as the successor to the Enzo. It occupied the highest position in Ferrari’s road-car range and served as a showcase for the company’s Formula 1-derived technology, lightweight construction and aerodynamic development.
Its mid-mounted 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 works with an electric motor and HY-KERS energy-recovery system, producing a combined 963 CV. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. A carbon-fibre structure, active aerodynamics and integrated electronic controls support its focus on circuit-level performance while retaining road-car usability.
LaFerrari remained a single-generation model. The original coupé was limited to 499 planned examples, with a 500th car later built for a charity auction. Ferrari followed it with the LaFerrari Aperta, an open-roof version launched in 2016 in connection with the brand’s 70th anniversary celebrations. The Aperta retained the coupé’s hybrid powertrain and core performance characteristics, with structural and aerodynamic changes suited to its open body.
Known for its immediate electric-assisted response, high-revving V12 and rarity, LaFerrari represents a key transition point between Ferrari’s earlier V12 flagship supercars and its later electrified performance models.
