About Ferrari Enzo
The Ferrari Enzo is a limited-production, two-seat berlinetta introduced at the 2002 Paris Motor Show. Named after the company’s founder, it occupied the highest level of Ferrari’s road-car range and formed part of the flagship lineage connecting the F50 with the later LaFerrari. Ferrari built 399 examples, followed by a 400th car in 2005 that was sold for charity.
Its mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 produces 660 hp and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed electrohydraulic transmission. Carbon-fibre construction, push-rod suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, integrated electronic controls and aerodynamics influenced by Formula One reflected Ferrari’s racing experience during a period of major championship success. The distinctive Pininfarina body prioritised aerodynamic function as well as visual identity.
The Enzo remained a single-generation model without a conventional trim range or factory roadster version. Its focused specification, restricted production and position as Ferrari’s early-2000s technology showcase distinguish it from the company’s regular V8 and V12 production cars. It is particularly known for its low weight, high-revving V12, direct controls and close connection to contemporary motorsport engineering.
