About Ferrari 812
Introduced in 2017, the Ferrari 812 is a two-seat, front-engined V12 grand touring sports car that succeeded the F12berlinetta. The 812 Superfast served as Ferrari’s flagship series-production berlinetta, combining road and track performance with the comfort needed for longer journeys.
The family belongs to a single model generation. Its core version uses a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Electric power steering, rear-wheel steering and integrated electronic chassis controls help manage its substantial performance.
Ferrari expanded the range with the 812 GTS, unveiled in 2019. This retractable-hardtop spider brought open-air driving to the same basic platform and marked the return of a series-production front-engined Ferrari V12 spider after 50 years.
The limited-production 812 Competizione coupé and Competizione A targa followed in 2021. These more focused variants added extensive aerodynamic changes, lower weight and an 830 cv V12 capable of reaching 9,500 rpm.
Known for its immediate naturally aspirated response, high-revving character, long-bonnet proportions and blend of grand-touring ability with supercar pace, the 812 represented the final evolution of Ferrari’s F12-based V12 line. The 12Cilindri later assumed its role in Ferrari’s range.
