About Chrysler Vision
The Chrysler Vision was a large four-door saloon sold mainly in European markets during the 1990s. It was the Chrysler-badged version of the North American Eagle Vision and was produced in Canada for the 1993–1997 model years. The car belonged to Chrysler’s first-generation LH family, alongside other large saloons developed around the group’s front-wheel-drive platform.
Only one generation was offered. Its styling followed Chrysler’s distinctive “cab-forward” approach, with a long wheelbase, short overhangs and a passenger compartment positioned relatively far forward. This layout helped provide a spacious five-seat cabin and a large boot while giving the Vision a more aerodynamic profile than many traditional American saloons of its period.
Depending on market and specification, versions included ESi and TSi models. Power came from naturally aspirated V6 petrol engines, principally 3.3-litre and 3.5-litre units, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The 3.5-litre version provided the stronger performance and supported the model’s sportier positioning.
Within Chrysler’s European range, the Vision served as a roomy executive-class alternative to established European and Japanese saloons. It is known for its generous interior space, smooth V6 performance, distinctive design and combination of American dimensions with relatively modern front-wheel-drive road manners.
