About Chrysler 300

The Chrysler 300 is a full-size four-door sedan that served as Chrysler’s large, rear-wheel-drive flagship in the modern era. Introduced for the 2005 model year, it revived a name associated with Chrysler performance cars of the 1950s. Its upright proportions, broad grille and long bonnet gave it a distinctive American luxury-sedan character.

The modern 300 covered two generations: 2005–2010 and 2011–2023. The second generation retained the basic rear-wheel-drive format while adding a more refined cabin, updated technology and later styling revisions. Production ended after the 2023 model year.

Most versions combined a spacious five-seat interior, a large luggage compartment and comfort-oriented road manners. Depending on year and market, buyers could choose V6 or HEMI V8 power, rear- or all-wheel drive, and trims ranging from Touring and Limited to the sportier 300S. The 300C generally occupied the upper end of the range, while SRT and SRT8 variants emphasised performance. A limited 2023 300C with a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 marked the end of production.

The 300 is best known for combining bold styling, near-luxury equipment and available V8 performance at a more accessible position than many premium-brand large sedans. Within Chrysler’s lineup, it acted as the brand’s formal sedan counterpart to its minivans and crossovers.
