About Chrysler 200
The Chrysler 200 is a mid-size passenger car sold for the 2011–2017 model years. It replaced the Sebring and served as Chrysler’s mainstream family car below the larger 300. Built in Sterling Heights, Michigan, the 200 competed in the established mid-size segment while bringing more contemporary styling and interior design to the brand’s range.
Two generations were produced. The first was a substantially revised development of the Sebring and came as either a four-door sedan or a two-door convertible. Depending on model year and trim, it used four-cylinder or V6 petrol engines with front-wheel drive. The convertible provided an uncommon open-top option in this market class.
An all-new second generation arrived for 2015 and was offered only as a sedan. It introduced a more streamlined exterior, a rotary gear selector and a standard nine-speed automatic transmission. Engine choices comprised a 2.4-litre four-cylinder and a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6, while all-wheel drive was available with selected V6 versions. Main trims included LX, Limited, S and C, followed by Touring and Platinum variations near the end of production. The 200 is known as Chrysler’s last mid-size sedan, with distinctive design, available V6 performance and a broad range of comfort and technology features. Production ended in December 2016.
