About Chevrolet Tahoe
Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size, body-on-frame SUV introduced for 1995, when Chevrolet replaced the full-size Blazer name. Early models included two- and four-door body styles, but the Tahoe developed into a four-door, three-row vehicle for families, towing users and fleets needing substantial passenger and cargo capacity.
The model has passed through five generations, with major redesigns arriving for 2000, 2007, 2015 and 2021. It remains closely related to Chevrolet’s full-size trucks and has been offered with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. V8 engines have long defined the range, while selected generations have also included hybrid and diesel powertrains. The current generation introduced independent rear suspension for improved cabin packaging and ride refinement.
Within Chevrolet’s SUV lineup, the Tahoe sits below the longer Suburban and above the brand’s crossover-based models. Current variations include LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country, covering utility-focused, sport-themed, off-road-oriented and more luxurious specifications. The Tahoe is known for its spacious interior, towing ability, truck-based construction and balance of family use with heavy-duty capability. It is assembled in Arlington, Texas.
