About Chevrolet Tacuma
The Chevrolet Tacuma is a compact five-door MPV developed by Daewoo and introduced in 2000. Originally sold as the Daewoo Tacuma or Rezzo, it adopted Chevrolet branding in many export markets around 2005 as General Motors reorganised its European and international range. The same vehicle was also marketed as the Chevrolet Rezzo or Vivant, depending on the country.
The Tacuma remained a single-generation model, identified by the U100 platform code. Its Pininfarina-designed body combined compact-car dimensions with a tall roof and a spacious, adaptable cabin. Most versions seated five occupants and prioritised flexible passenger and luggage space, placing the model between conventional hatchbacks and larger people carriers.
Specifications varied by market and production year. Common versions used 1.6-, 1.8- or 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engines, with manual or automatic transmissions; LPG-powered derivatives were available in selected regions. The model was produced in several countries, and parts of the wider Rezzo, Tacuma and Vivant family remained in production into the early 2010s. Known mainly as practical family transport, it occupied the value-focused MPV position in Chevrolet’s range before newer models such as the Orlando took over that role.
