About Chevrolet Spin
The Chevrolet Spin is a compact multi-purpose vehicle developed by General Motors in Brazil and introduced in 2012. Created mainly for Latin American markets, it replaced the Meriva and Zafira in Chevrolet’s regional range. Its design combines minivan-like passenger space with relatively compact exterior dimensions. The Spin was also assembled in Indonesia for selected Southeast Asian markets, while Brazil has remained its principal production base.
The model has continued through one core generation, with major updates rather than a complete redesign. A significant facelift arrived in 2018, followed by a broader revision in 2024 featuring more SUV-inspired styling, a redesigned cabin, additional safety equipment and newer connectivity. Depending on year and market, the range has offered five- and seven-seat layouts, manual and automatic transmissions, LT and LTZ trims, the more highly equipped Premier and the adventure-styled Activ.
