About Chevrolet Série 10
The Chevrolet Série 10 was a family of full-size pickups developed by General Motors do Brasil for Brazil and other South American markets. Introduced in 1964 as the successor to the Chevrolet 3100 Brasil, it initially used C-14 and C-15 designations before adopting the better-known C-10 name in 1974. It occupied a central position in Chevrolet’s commercial-vehicle range, combining useful load capacity with improved ride comfort.
Most versions featured body-on-frame construction, rear-wheel drive, independent front suspension and straightforward mechanical systems. The range included single- and double-cab pickups, as well as chassis configurations for specialised bodies. Model names generally reflected the fuel type: C-10 for petrol, D-10 for diesel and A-10 for ethanol. Equipment ranged from basic work-focused models to Custom and other more comfort-oriented variants.
The original locally styled generation received several design and mechanical updates rather than a complete redesign. In 1985, it was followed by the more angular Série 10/20 family, with 10-series names continuing alongside higher-capacity 20-series models in some configurations and markets.
Known for robust construction, ease of maintenance and strong six-cylinder petrol or torque-focused diesel engines, the Série 10 became widely used in agriculture, commerce and fleet service. It is also recognised as a classic Brazilian Chevrolet pickup with distinctive styling and a practical character.
