About Chevrolet Seeker
The Chevrolet Seeker is a compact crossover SUV developed for the Chinese market by SAIC-GM. It made its global debut in Shanghai in July 2022 and reached the market later that year under the Chinese name Xing Mai Luo. The model was introduced as part of Chevrolet’s effort to modernise its local SUV range with younger styling, updated connectivity and an efficient cabin layout.
The Seeker has remained in its first generation. It uses a five-door body with a raised ride height and a sloping roofline that gives it a more road-focused appearance than a traditional box-shaped SUV. With a 2,700 mm wheelbase, it is positioned as a practical compact family vehicle, sitting between smaller urban crossovers and larger mid-size SUVs in Chevrolet’s line-up.
Chinese-market versions use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. The original range included five trim levels, with two RS versions adding sportier exterior and interior details. A Redline-themed custom edition was also displayed to demonstrate further personalisation options.
The Seeker is mainly known for its distinctive split-light design, wide dual-screen dashboard, connected infotainment features and balance of compact exterior dimensions with useful passenger space. Its emphasis is on everyday comfort, technology and contemporary styling rather than off-road ability.
