The Chevrolet Rodeo was a mid-size, body-on-frame SUV sold mainly in Latin American markets, including Ecuador, Colombia and Bolivia. It was a Chevrolet-badged version of the Isuzu Rodeo, reflecting the long-running product and manufacturing relationship between General Motors and Isuzu.
Local assembly in Ecuador began in the 1990s, with production continuing into the early 2000s. The underlying Isuzu model developed through two generations, although availability under the Chevrolet name varied by country and year. Most Chevrolet Rodeos were five-door models designed to combine passenger accommodation with the durability and ground clearance associated with pickup-based utility vehicles.
