About Chevrolet Nexia
The Chevrolet Nexia belongs to a long-running family of compact saloons produced in Uzbekistan for domestic and regional markets. The name was established by the Daewoo Nexia, which entered local production in 1996. It became widely known as straightforward, affordable transport in Central Asia and several other former Soviet markets.
The earlier Nexia used Daewoo’s N100 platform, derived from the Opel Kadett E. A substantially updated N150 version entered production in 2008, with revised exterior styling, interior changes and updated engines. This model is commonly described as the second-generation Nexia and remained in production until 2016.
The third-generation Nexia, identified by the T250 code, replaced it in 2016. Rather than being a further development of the original car, it was based on the first-generation Chevrolet Aveo saloon. It was also exported as the Ravon Nexia R3 before Chevrolet branding returned to several regional markets in 2020. This version generally used a 1.5-litre petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission options.
Within Chevrolet’s regional range, the Nexia served as an entry-level four-door saloon below larger models such as the Cobalt and Lacetti. It was valued mainly for its simple design, manageable dimensions, practical cabin and established service network. Uzbek production ended around the close of 2022 as newer Onix and Tracker models joined the range.
