About Cadillac XT5
The Cadillac XT5 is a five-seat midsize luxury crossover introduced for the 2017 model year as the successor to the SRX. It was the first Cadillac to use the brand’s XT naming system for crossovers and SUVs. With unibody construction and a road-focused layout, it is designed primarily for everyday comfort and versatility rather than heavy-duty use.
Within Cadillac’s SUV range, the XT5 sits above the compact XT4 and below the three-row XT6 and full-size Escalade. It competes in the core premium midsize crossover class, combining manageable exterior dimensions with a spacious passenger compartment and flexible cargo area.
The first-generation model has remained in North American production through the 2026 model year. A substantial update for 2020 introduced revised styling, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim structure. Depending on year and market, versions have offered front- or all-wheel drive, turbocharged four-cylinder or V6 power, and comfort- or sport-oriented chassis settings.
China received an all-new XT5 in 2024, developed around regional preferences and fitted with a turbocharged engine and 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
