About Cadillac OPTIQ
Cadillac OPTIQ is a battery-electric compact luxury crossover introduced for the 2025 model year. It was created as the entry point to Cadillac’s electric SUV range, positioned below the larger LYRIQ and aimed at buyers seeking a smaller, more agile premium vehicle. North American production began in late 2024 at General Motors’ Ramos Arizpe complex in Mexico, and the model is sold in several global markets.
The OPTIQ remains in its first generation. Initial North American versions featured an 85-kWh battery, dual-motor all-wheel drive and Luxury or Sport trim themes. For 2026, the range expanded with rear-wheel-drive models, additional trim levels and a native NACS charging port. Specifications and availability differ by market.
The OPTIQ-V joined the range for 2026 as its performance-focused version. It adds more powerful dual-motor propulsion, upgraded suspension and brakes, and distinctive V-Series details while retaining the five-seat crossover layout.
Notable qualities include a spacious cabin relative to its compact footprint, a 33-inch curved display, advanced driver-assistance features and an interior using unconventional recycled materials. Within Cadillac’s line-up, the OPTIQ serves as the brand’s most accessible electric crossover and a youthful counterpart to its larger EVs.
