About Cadillac GT4
The Cadillac GT4 is a five-door compact luxury crossover introduced in China in May 2023. It was Cadillac’s first coupe-style SUV, combining a low, fastback-inspired roofline with the stance and seating layout of a conventional crossover. Created primarily for the Chinese market, it joined the XT4 in the compact luxury SUV class rather than replacing an earlier Cadillac model. The nameplate is represented by a single generation introduced at launch.
The range was organised around two turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engines. The 25T versions used a 1.5-litre engine and front-wheel drive, while the 28T flagship combined a 2.0-litre engine with all-wheel drive. Both powertrains featured 48-volt mild-hybrid technology and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Trim variations offered different equipment levels, along with luxury-oriented or darker sport-style exterior details.
The GT4 is known for its sleek proportions, vertical LED lighting and a cabin influenced by the electric Lyriq. A wide 33-inch curved display forms the centrepiece of the interior, while the five-seat layout provides everyday crossover practicality. Within Cadillac’s line-up, the GT4 served as a more style-focused alternative to the XT4, aimed at buyers who preferred a lower silhouette and technology-led interior over the more traditional shape of a compact SUV.
