About Cadillac CT6

The Cadillac CT6 is a full-size four-door luxury sedan introduced for the 2016 model year. Developed as Cadillac’s flagship conventional sedan, it occupied the top of the brand’s passenger-car range, combining generous interior space with a greater focus on driving dynamics than many traditional large luxury cars.

The first generation used a lightweight, mixed-material rear-wheel-drive architecture, with all-wheel drive available on selected versions. Powertrains varied by year and market, including turbocharged four-cylinder engines, naturally aspirated and twin-turbocharged V6s, and a plug-in hybrid. The rare CT6-V and CT6 Platinum with the 4.2-litre twin-turbo Blackwing V8 were the principal high-performance variants.

North American production ended in 2020, while the CT6 continued to play an important role in China. A second generation launched there in 2023, retaining rear-wheel drive and the large-sedan format while introducing a 2.0-litre turbo engine, 10-speed automatic transmission and a more digitally focused cabin.

The CT6 is known for its spacious interior, restrained styling, composed handling and advanced equipment. The first generation introduced Cadillac’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance system. Depending on specification, features included Magnetic Ride Control, active rear steering, premium rear-seat amenities and high-end audio.
