About Cadillac CT5
The Cadillac CT5 is a mid-size luxury sport sedan introduced for the 2020 model year. It took the place of the CTS in Cadillac’s range and uses a rear-wheel-drive-based platform, with all-wheel drive offered on selected versions. Built at General Motors’ Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan, it is the larger of Cadillac’s two conventional sedans, positioned above the CT4.
The CT5 remains in its first generation. A substantial update for the 2025 model year brought revised front styling, updated lighting and a wide 33-inch dashboard display. Equipment, engines and trim names vary by model year and market, but the range has included Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport versions. Four-cylinder and twin-turbocharged V6 engines have been offered, generally with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance models are an important part of the CT5’s identity. The CT5-V combines a twin-turbocharged V6 with upgraded chassis technology, while the CT5-V Blackwing is the range-topping variant.
