About Cadillac CT4
The Cadillac CT4 is a compact four-door luxury sports sedan introduced for the 2020 model year as the successor to the ATS sedan. It occupied the entry point to Cadillac’s car range, positioned below the larger CT5 and aimed at buyers seeking a smaller alternative to established European premium sedans.
The CT4 was offered in a single generation through the 2026 model year. North American production took place at General Motors’ Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. Its rear-wheel-drive platform and longitudinal engine layout distinguished it from many compact luxury cars, while all-wheel drive was available on most versions.
Mainstream grades included Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport, generally using turbocharged four-cylinder engines. The performance range comprised the CT4-V, with sharper chassis tuning and a higher-output 2.7-litre turbo engine, and the CT4-V Blackwing. The Blackwing used a 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6, rear-wheel drive and a choice of manual or automatic transmission, making it the most focused version.
The CT4 is known for balanced handling, responsive steering and compact dimensions, combined with distinctive Cadillac styling and modern driver-assistance and infotainment features. Its cabin and rear-seat space are relatively compact, but its traditional rear-drive proportions and broad performance range gave it a clear role as Cadillac’s smallest and most driver-oriented sedan.
