About Cadillac CELESTIQ
The Cadillac CELESTIQ is a hand-built, all-electric ultra-luxury sedan created as the flagship of Cadillac’s modern range. Previewed by a show car in 2022, it entered low-volume production in late 2023. The model draws inspiration from historic hand-finished Cadillacs while establishing a design and technology direction for the brand’s electric era.
Unlike Cadillac’s series-produced sedans and SUVs, the CELESTIQ is individually commissioned. Each car is assembled at the Artisan Center within General Motors’ Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan—the first production vehicle built at that campus. Customers work with Cadillac designers to select colours, materials, finishes and details, so there is no conventional trim-level structure and individual cars can differ substantially.
The model remains in its first generation. Its dedicated electric architecture combines a 111-kWh battery with two motors and all-wheel drive. Notable features include a 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display, a four-quadrant smart-glass roof, four-wheel steering, air suspension and extensive use of hand-finished and 3D-printed components.
Positioned above the rest of Cadillac’s line-up, the CELESTIQ competes in the bespoke luxury market rather than the mainstream premium sedan class. It is known for extremely limited production, extensive personalisation, dramatic fastback styling and a technology-rich four-seat cabin.
