About Buick Envista
The Buick Envista is a five-seat compact crossover with a low, coupe-like roofline. It debuted in China in 2022 and joined Buick’s North American range for the 2024 model year. North American vehicles are produced by GM Korea at its Bupyeong plant.
The Envista remains in its first generation. Current North American models use a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is not offered. Its road-focused design prioritises everyday efficiency and usability rather than off-road capability.
Within Buick’s SUV range, the Envista is the entry-level crossover, positioned below the Encore GX. Its sportback profile, wide digital displays and seating for five distinguish it from more conventional budget-oriented small SUVs.
The main versions are Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir. Preferred is the core trim, Sport Touring adds darker exterior details and a more athletic appearance, while Avenir provides the most upscale materials and comfort equipment. The Envista is known for combining accessible positioning with Buick’s newer design language, useful technology and a quieter, more refined cabin focus.
