About Buick Envision Plus
The Buick Envision Plus is a China-focused midsize crossover SUV introduced in 2021. Developed for family use, it added a longer wheelbase and greater cabin flexibility to the Envision range. Early models offered five- or seven-seat layouts, positioning the Envision Plus as the roomier, more comfort-oriented alternative to the Envision S. It is built by SAIC-GM at the Dongyue plant in Shandong.
The model has remained within one generation. A substantial 2024 update introduced Buick’s newer exterior design, a revised interior with a large curved display and an increased focus on the five-seat format. Versions have included front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models, while Avenir variants provide the highest equipment level and distinctive luxury detailing. Current models use a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Within Buick’s Chinese SUV lineup, the Envision Plus targets the mainstream midsize segment while offering a more premium cabin character than many conventional family crossovers. It is known mainly for generous passenger space, a long 2,833 mm wheelbase, restrained road manners, sound insulation and a broad range of comfort, connectivity and driver-assistance features.
