About Buick Electra E7
The Buick Electra E7 is a China-market, five-seat plug-in hybrid SUV introduced in April 2026. It is the first SUV in Buick’s new Electra premium electrified sub-brand and uses the locally developed Xiao Yao vehicle architecture. Despite sharing its name with earlier Electra-branded models, the E7 begins a separate model line and is currently in its first generation.
Developed for Chinese families, the E7 combines a turbocharged petrol engine with electric drive and a rechargeable battery. Its Zhenlong Plug-in Hybrid Pro system provides more than 200 km of electric range and up to 1,630 km of combined range under the CLTC test cycle. These figures position it as a long-distance-capable alternative to conventional petrol SUVs and battery-electric vehicles.
The range launched with three versions: 1600 Full Package, 1600 Ultra Package and 1600 Ultra Package Turbo. Equipment varies, but the model is characterised by a spacious second row, comfort-focused suspension tuning, fast-charging capability, extensive cabin displays and available advanced driver-assistance technology.
