About Bugatti Chiron

The Bugatti Chiron is a two-seat, mid-engined hypercar introduced in 2016 as the successor to the Veyron and Bugatti’s main series-production model. Hand-assembled in Molsheim, France, it was limited to 500 examples, with the final car completed in May 2024. It occupied the extreme upper end of the car market, combining exceptional performance with bespoke finishes, detailed craftsmanship and grand-touring comfort.

The standard Chiron uses an 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged W16 producing 1,500 PS and 1,600 Nm. Permanent four-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission manage this output. A carbon-fibre monocoque, active aerodynamics and extensive cooling systems support its ability to deliver immense acceleration and very high speed while retaining a relatively refined driving character.

Several versions gave the Chiron range distinct priorities. The Chiron Sport improved handling without increasing power, while the Pur Sport introduced lower weight, shorter gearing and greater downforce for added agility. The long-tail Super Sport focused on stability and maximum speed, with output raised to 1,600 PS. The limited Super Sport 300+ was associated with the 2019 run that exceeded 300 mph. Together, these models established the Chiron as the defining Bugatti of the W16 era.
