About Bentley Flying Spur
The Bentley Flying Spur is a four-door luxury grand tourer designed to combine limousine comfort with sports-car performance. Introduced in 2005 as the Continental Flying Spur, it later adopted the shorter Flying Spur name and is now in its fourth generation. The model is designed, engineered and handcrafted at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, England.
Within the Bentley range, the Flying Spur is the principal four-door sedan. It occupies the upper end of the luxury performance market and is intended to suit both owner-drivers and passengers using a chauffeur. Its spacious cabin, extensive personalisation choices and long-distance refinement are balanced by strong acceleration and sophisticated handling technology.
Earlier generations were offered with V8 and W12 petrol engines, while the third generation also introduced plug-in hybrid power. The current range uses electrified V8 powertrains, reflecting Bentley’s move away from the W12. Major variations include the standard Flying Spur, the comfort-focused Azure, the more performance-oriented Speed and the highly specified Mulliner.
The Flying Spur is particularly known for its handcrafted leather, wood and metal interior finishes, quiet ride and substantial road presence. All-wheel drive, all-wheel steering and active chassis systems help make this large sedan more agile than its dimensions suggest.
