About Audi e-tron GT
The Audi e-tron GT is a battery-electric four-door grand tourer that entered series production in late 2020 and reached markets in 2021. Built by Audi Sport at Böllinger Höfe in Germany, it combines a low, coupé-like body with four seats, everyday usability and long-distance touring ability. It occupies the performance-focused flagship position in Audi’s electric range.
The model remains in its first generation. Early versions comprised the e-tron GT quattro and the more powerful RS e-tron GT, both using dual-motor electric all-wheel drive. A substantial update introduced for 2024 brought revised styling, larger battery capacity, faster charging, greater range and new suspension technology. The updated family expanded to include the S e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT performance, although specifications and availability vary by market.
Key characteristics include an 800-volt electrical system, rapid DC charging capability, strong acceleration and a balance between controlled handling and refined ride comfort. The RS derivatives provide the highest performance, with the RS e-tron GT performance serving as Audi’s first fully electric RS performance model. Across the range, the e-tron GT is known for its aerodynamic shape, driver-focused cabin and combination of electric performance with traditional grand-touring qualities.
