About Audi A6 e-tron
The Audi A6 e-tron is a battery-electric model in the upper premium mid-size segment. Previewed by a concept at Auto Shanghai in 2021, the production version was introduced in 2024. It represents the first generation of the A6 e-tron and is distinct from combustion-engined and plug-in hybrid A6 models, although it occupies a similar position in Audi’s business-class range.
Two body styles were developed: the streamlined Sportback, with a large rear hatch, and the more cargo-oriented Avant estate. Availability varies by market. The range includes rear-wheel-drive A6 e-tron and A6 e-tron performance versions, quattro all-wheel-drive models, and the higher-performance S6 e-tron. Battery capacity, output and equipment differ by version.
Built in Ingolstadt, Germany, the A6 e-tron is Audi’s second model based on the Premium Platform Electric after the Q6 e-tron, and the first to use its flat-floor configuration. The dedicated electric architecture supports 800-volt charging technology and different battery and drivetrain layouts. The model is known for efficient aerodynamics, long-distance comfort, rapid charging capability, modern digital lighting and a spacious, technology-focused cabin. It provides a lower, road-focused alternative to Audi’s electric SUVs while retaining the refined character associated with the A6 class.
