About Audi A6
The Audi A6 is a premium executive car developed from the long-running Audi 100. The A6 name was introduced in 1994, when Audi updated and renamed the final Audi 100 generation under a revised model naming system. Audi counts the wider C-series lineage from the original 1968 Audi 100, making the A6 introduced in 2025 its ninth generation.
Positioned below the flagship A8 and above Audi’s smaller passenger cars, the A6 is designed for business-class and long-distance travel. Most generations have been available as a four-door Sedan and an Avant estate. The A6 allroad adds a raised ride height, protective body details and quattro all-wheel drive for greater versatility.
