About Audi A2 e-tron
The Audi A2 e-tron is a compact battery-electric model scheduled to make its world premiere in autumn 2026. It will serve as the entry point to Audi’s fully electric range and mark the brand’s move into the electric compact-car class. Production is planned at Audi’s main plant in Ingolstadt, Germany, with first customer deliveries expected in 2026.
Although its name refers to the original Audi A2 built from 2000 to 2005, the A2 e-tron starts a separate electric model family rather than continuing the earlier car’s technical lineage. It carries forward similar priorities: low energy use, intelligent packaging and practical use of space within a small exterior footprint. As the first production generation has not yet been fully unveiled, final dimensions, trim levels and market-specific versions remain unconfirmed.
Audi has detailed a preliminary 140 kW version with an optional efficiency package. This configuration uses a 61 kWh gross, 58 kWh usable lithium-iron-phosphate battery and is provisionally rated at 12.8 kWh per 100 km under WLTP testing. Bidirectional charging is also planned, allowing the battery to power external equipment or support compatible home energy systems.
Positioned below Audi’s larger electric models, the A2 e-tron is intended for urban and everyday use. Its notable qualities include an aerodynamic body, flexible interior packaging, durable battery chemistry and a strong emphasis on efficiency rather than high performance.
