About Aston Martin Vantage
Aston Martin Vantage is the brand’s compact, driver-focused two-seat sports car. The name originated in 1950 as a designation for a higher-output DB2 engine and was later applied to several performance models. It became a modern series-production line with the V8 Vantage in 2005. A new generation arrived in 2018, followed by an extensively revised version in 2024. Modern examples are built at Aston Martin’s Gaydon facility in England.
Most Vantage road cars use a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and have been offered as a fixed-roof coupe or open-top Roadster. Across different generations and markets, the range has included V8 and V12 engines, manual and automatic transmissions, and more focused derivatives such as S, AMR and F1 Edition models. Related GT3 and GT4 racing cars have reinforced the model’s performance identity, although they are separate competition versions.
Within Aston Martin’s core range, Vantage places greater emphasis on agility and driver involvement than the DB12 grand tourer, while Vanquish occupies the V12 flagship position. The model is known for compact proportions, muscular styling, strong acceleration and a cabin that combines two-seat sports-car packaging with luxury materials. Current variants include Coupe and Roadster body styles, with S versions offering sharper performance and chassis tuning.
