About Aston Martin Valkyrie
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is a limited-production, two-seat, mid-engined hypercar created with Red Bull Advanced Technologies. Developed from the AM-RB 001 project, it was conceived to transfer Formula One-influenced engineering into a road-legal vehicle. Customer production began at Aston Martin’s Gaydon facility in 2021, with 150 coupes hand-built.
Its performance-focused hybrid system combines a Cosworth-built 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with an electric motor. Rather than prioritising electric driving, the system uses electrical assistance to increase power and torque. A carbon-fibre structure, active suspension and large underbody Venturi tunnels contribute to low weight, high downforce and unusually direct handling. The compact cabin has a reclined seating position and minimalist controls.
The range also includes the open-top Valkyrie Spider, limited to 85 examples, and the track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro, limited to 40 customer cars. The AMR Pro removes the hybrid system and uses revised bodywork, aerodynamics and chassis dimensions for circuit driving.
Within Aston Martin’s lineup, the Valkyrie serves as the brand’s first road-legal hypercar and a technical flagship above its conventional sports cars and grand tourers. It is best known for its extreme aerodynamics, high-revving V12, rarity and close connection between road-car and racing design principles.
