About Aston Martin One-77

The Aston Martin One-77 is a limited-production two-seat hypercar created as the flagship of Aston Martin’s road-car range. Previewed in 2008 and fully revealed in 2009, it was produced from 2010 to 2012. Production was restricted to 77 examples, giving the model its name and placing it well above the contemporary DBS and other series-production Aston Martins in price, rarity and engineering ambition.

The front-engined, rear-wheel-drive coupe uses a naturally aspirated 7.3-litre V12 and a rear-mounted six-speed automated manual transmission. Its structure combines a lightweight carbon-fibre monocoque with hand-formed aluminium bodywork. The One-77 was rated at 750 bhp and achieved a reported top speed of 220 mph, making it the fastest production Aston Martin of its era.

There were no regular coupe, roadster or performance derivatives. Instead, each car could be individually specified with bespoke exterior colours, cabin materials and trim details. The model is known for its muscular proportions, highly finished interior, strong naturally aspirated performance and unusual blend of traditional coachbuilding with advanced composite construction. It occupies a distinct place in the brand’s lineage as an early modern Aston Martin hypercar and a precursor to later limited-run flagships.
