About Aston Martin DBR22

The Aston Martin DBR22 is an ultra-low-volume, two-seat open-cockpit sports car created by Q by Aston Martin, the brand’s bespoke division. It was unveiled at Monterey Car Week in August 2022 to mark Q’s tenth anniversary. Initially presented as a design concept, it was subsequently produced for a small group of selected customers, with the first wholesales beginning in late 2023.

Its styling draws on the DB3S and DBR1 racing cars while using modern materials and manufacturing methods. Carbon-fibre bodywork covers a dedicated two-seat layout with a low wind deflector and rear nacelles rather than a conventional roof. A 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Aston Martin quoted 715 PS, 753 Nm of torque, 0–60 mph in 3.4 seconds and a 198 mph top speed. A 3D-printed aluminium rear subframe is another notable technical feature.

The DBR22 was not offered as a regular series-production model and has no broad trim or body-style range. Individual examples could differ through Q-commissioned colours, materials, graphics and finishes. Within Aston Martin’s lineup, it occupies the position of a coach-built halo model, combining speedster-style minimalism, V12 performance, racing-inspired design and extensive personalisation.
