About Aston Martin DB7
The Aston Martin DB7 is a luxury grand tourer produced from 1994 into 2004. Revealed in 1993 and styled by Ian Callum, it was built at a dedicated facility in Bloxham, England. The model combined elegant proportions and long-distance comfort with more accessible production than earlier hand-built Aston Martins, becoming the brand’s highest-volume car of its time.
DB7 buyers could choose between a fixed-roof coupé and the open-top Volante. Early cars used a supercharged 3.2-litre straight-six engine, with manual and automatic transmissions available. In 1999, the DB7 Vantage introduced a 6.0-litre V12 and replaced the original six-cylinder range, giving the model stronger performance and a more prominent position in Aston Martin’s line-up.
Later variations included the more sporting GT and automatic GTA, while the limited-production DB7 Zagato offered distinctive coachbuilt styling and greater exclusivity. Across its range, the DB7 is known for its flowing exterior design, traditional leather-trimmed cabin, refined grand-touring character and choice of coupé or convertible body styles. It marked an important expansion of Aston Martin production while retaining the brand’s emphasis on performance, craftsmanship and understated British luxury.
