About Aston Martin DB12
The Aston Martin DB12 is a front-engined, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer introduced in 2023 as the successor to the DB11. Launched during the 75th anniversary of Aston Martin’s DB line, it was the first model in the brand’s next generation of sports cars. Aston Martin calls it a “Super Tourer”, reflecting its combination of long-distance comfort and sports-car performance in a two-door 2+2 format.
The standard DB12 uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, an eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronic rear differential. The range began with the coupé, followed by the fabric-roof DB12 Volante. The more performance-focused DB12 S later became the range-topping derivative, adding greater power, sharper chassis tuning, carbon-ceramic brakes and distinctive design details. Bespoke and limited-run versions have also been produced through Q by Aston Martin.
Within Aston Martin’s line-up, the DB12 sits between the more compact, sports-focused Vantage and the V12-powered Vanquish flagship. It is known for blending high-speed touring ability, strong acceleration and agile handling with a richly finished cabin. It also marked a major technology step for the marque by introducing Aston Martin’s first in-house infotainment system while retaining physical controls for key functions.
