About Acura Integra
The Acura Integra is a compact premium car known for combining everyday usability with responsive, driver-focused handling. The nameplate helped launch Acura in North America in 1986 and appeared in hatchback, coupe and sedan forms over several generations. After being replaced by the RSX in North America, it returned for the 2023 model year.
The current Integra is a five-door liftback with front-wheel drive, a coupe-like roofline and a flexible cargo area. Built in Marysville, Ohio, it serves as the gateway car in Acura’s line-up and competes in the premium sport compact segment. Its positioning balances more equipment and refinement than a mainstream compact with a relatively accessible entry point for the brand.
Earlier versions included performance-oriented GS-R and Type R models. The modern range covers the standard Integra, appearance-focused A-Spec packages and the higher-performance Type S. Regular models use a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine with a continuously variable transmission or, on selected versions, a six-speed manual. The Type S adds a more powerful 2.0-litre turbo engine, wider bodywork, upgraded brakes and suspension, and a manual transmission. Across its generations, the Integra is chiefly associated with agile road manners, efficient four-cylinder engines and practical packaging.
